Traditional v WFP
« on: November 09, 2009, 08:11:24 pm »

Spoke to a friend who is window cleaner, traditional only and he is picking up lots new work, but all that work is from unhappy customers using WFP companies

Do you have that problem, loosing  customers cos they don’t like WFP

nope ;)
some folk thing wfp is a magic wand so they wave it over the windows, and off they go.
Yes it is quicker than trad, but you still have to do a proper job

Do you think wfp upstairs and trad downstairs would help retain/get your customers? Just starting out and got backpack for awkward windows but am considering  using for all upstairs to maximise my safety.

why they dont like wfp is simple, they dont like the speed you do it  iv noticed that when i started wfp they would say[ THAT WAS QUICK ]how much was it .
they cant stand the thought of someone erning so much in a small amount of  time and thats the truth of it.

So would you advise taking a bit more time than necessary to try and keep the customers happy?

Totally agreed i think thats the way when ive built up my round thats how im doing it as my partner likes trade but i would preffer to not have to get the ladder out.

I've had one or two cancel, and I've lost a few. I haven't checked behind the sofa though, they could be there.

oh, time for bed. that one even made me cringe :o :o :o

Some people don't like it period.
I'm sure half a dozen would cancel if they can get a trad cleaner instead. But if i offered customer the choice of going back i reckon 95% would jump at the chance. I don't think customers can get their head around the idea of a window cleaner finishing, when the windows are still wet.
Many praise it though. But they would prefer dry windows.

No, not more time than is necessary (that is a waste) but more time than you'd prefer (that IS necessary)
