put two together last weekend....simple just buy a Y piece from  B&Q spilt hose and insert.
i would recommend a booster pump ..retail about £90 pure freedom they really improve water production.

we use 2 on our static, (4040) you should not put 1 after the other! as this does not speed up production and just feeds water with a very high tds into the second membrane.

buy 3 y pieces and split the inlet, pure, and waste pipes, and as sugested use a booster pump. 100psi. now you will see more water produced.

another option if you have a 4040 already would be to contact gaps water and replace your membrane with their low pressure HF5 membrane, bar far the best on the market, these are designed to produce water fast at low pressures like 30 psi, so if your water pressure is 50 or above these are fantastic.
The best way to predict the future is to create it.

I wouldnt of thought you would gain much from running 2 RO's together.
the 3 pre filters wouldnt be needed on the second unit. just the membranes.

No I did not put it together myself, i had it installed by The Pure Window Water Company. You can see the system on his website ( google him!) my is a twin RO 650 litre system, but speak to him- he is very knowledgable and very well priced, His name is James.
Hope this helps

Split the inlet water supply so that feeds 2 independant systems.
Doubles the speed of production.

An RO unit can only use so much water. Compare it to what a kitchen tap will throw out if fully opened, so there is enough scope to run 2 units from one supply.
Trust me, I've done it and it rapidy speeds up production.

My understanding is that by putting them in series you reduce the waste water.

I've seen a few diagrams for setting up multiple R.Os and they were all in series.  Prior to seeing these diagrams I was planning to connect in parallel.

My current set up has 2 R.Os in series and has certainly increased production - but now wonder if I should change it to parallel - confused!!

mine is a remarkable improvement on what it was. i have good tap pressure at my lock up. before i would be getting half that. I may even get more than 4000 in 24 hours. i can fill 2 ibc's in 8 hours so i guess it would be more. i just never see it as i've gone home when its still producing and there full when i get in in the morning
