I need to submit a quote tonight to remove all the red paint on this. How long do you think it will take?

and there is another 30 square metres of patio which i havnt got a photo for all covered in paint.


Its all been on there for two weeks, but it is not coming off easily..

Any help would be REALLY good!

Those photos remind me of the scabs houses during the mineworkers strike in 84/85. What type of paint do you think it is ? You will need a plastic safe graffiti reomover for the plastic surfaces but the problem is the brick over the plastic. I'd quote well over £5k as the price has to reflect the replacement costs and its going to be grief. Do test areas to price accurately on every surface but never go in too cheap and make sure on your insurance, also write into the quote that results may be limited due to the unknown type of paint and the time its been there

Nice little job there matey!

The upvc is going to be a pain... even if you get rid of the paint, the chances of it being stained by the pigment in the paint are massive and you will probably have to replace anyway.  If I were you, I would just get a quote for replacing the upvc and stick 20% on top (I am assuming it is an insurance job).
It probably won't be financially viable to clean it is what I am tring to say I guess.
The blocks and roof etc, charge them somewhere in the region of £750 a day plus VAT if you are registered... you will have to judge how many days it is going to take as I can't see the extent of the damage.

I do loads of insurance work and basically, as long as you keep the cost of cleaning something to lower than replacement, then they will normally go for it.  For example, £1500 to clean a roof is worth it for them otherwise they are going to spend £5k on replacing it.

If you use steam to remove the paint and then some ghost remover to remove the last traces of pigment you shouel be able to clean a whole house, roof and all in a couple of days.

Do you know of any good PVC friendly graffiti removal products?

I use all graffitihotline's stuff so I called them because after doing some test areas there are still some marks where the paint had been. although all the paint had been removed, just the staining left.
They told me the staining can not be removed.

Also ... it is not coming off the roof tiles nicely. It looks good from the ground, but not too good close up.

I was thinking somewhere in the region of 10- 12 days for the whole thing?
When doing the test area, it needed 2-3 coats of chemcials for most of it.


The cleaning will have to be perfect, or not at all i guess being as it is insurance work.



How much do you think it would be to replace all that?

Just incase anyones interested  .... 

I did this job it took about 2 weeks to do as it was in the Wellsh valleys and it rained nearly every day!
I managed to get it off every surface but all the PVC and all the conservatory had to be replaced. It must have cost a fortune!

I wouldnt mind some more of these though. I was working for a construction company who handled the replacing of the PVC so my charges were chemicals and labour.
