Commercial Question.....
«
on:
October 26, 2009, 08:33:37 pm »
You know these shopping centres that spring up in the blink of an eye and have normally all the usual major high street retailers in them?
How do the window cleaning contracts work for these places? Are each retailer responsible for their window cleaning or does one wcer do the lot as a contract for the building.
Also, when approaching high street names, do you contact the outlet or the main office?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

My wife works for M & CO retail clothes shop they have around 350 shops around the U.K I don't do shops myself but
if you want the work.keep a eye on when they advertise for staff on the window or when staff are in the shop stocking up for grand opening simply knock the front door ask for store Manager if you could give them a quote simply

I think it depends on the company. But when I worked a retail manager I was responcible for hiring the window cleaner for my store, but all invoices had to be submited to HO for payment.
I have worked for other companies where payment would be made out of petty cash, but I think those stores are few and far between now.
As for shopping centres it may be all done through centre managment.
