phone's gone quiet
« on: October 23, 2009, 07:55:14 pm »
At last the silly season could be over - no new customers at all this week.

On another note I clean the house of the boss of a cleaning company. He was chatting away and I asked about the windowcleaning side of his buisiness. He has someone to do his commercial work (his cleaners don't do the windows). He was telling me he paid this guy over £60,000 last year alone  :o where there's muck there's money as they say.

give it a month and everyone will want you to do their windows on xmas eve.

Been caught out in past: custy says will you be back before xmas

I think to myself; oh tip coming my way :D

"I won't be back till after xmas now"

greeted with grumpy face and no tip :(

Watch out for the users, want there windows done but must have them done just before xmas,

they don't want the inlaws knowing they have dirty windows.

once you got the windows nice and clean you hear that line:

"how often did you say you called around? leave me your number and will call you in the new year"

 ;D ;D ;D
any new ones in dec will be double for 1st clean ;)

Shawn...really....what have you put into place to cover these large losses?

FTP knowing your luck lately is could be that your phone is permently connected to the speaking clock in Brazil hence no calls...added to that ...you have missed a call that was for a 2 bed bungalow which needed cleaning every other day for 250 notes per time and it's only around the corner and the lady is partially sighted.

;D Funny you should say that. I had a first clean a while ago and spent probably two hours on one house trying to get it right. When I finished I gave my usual speach about how the job might not be perfect first time and if she had any complaints to call me back.

We are the same, phone's gone quiet. Went round and saw 8 people that called for quotes - got one.
All the rest wanted or have been cleaned cheap as chips.  Undercutters and newbies everywhere.
