Got to disagree here Tomy, especially `poling `at height.
Even hand on glass,ya need too steady a hand. This is
Only on upvc or powder coated frames with a moulding.
It`s the moulding that’s the problem I find.

Hi Joe,

I always dog ear my squeegees, but far more effective is to wipe round the edge of the glass with a cloth before you start squeegeeing.  That way you take off all the excess water from around the edges so when you squeegee there's no 'free' water to leave a run around the edge.

Sequence: mop the glass, wipe all round (except the bottom edge) squeegee.  Check to see there's no residue around the edge then move on to the next pane of glass.

Surely you would be better off detailing after you bladed the water off.

The whole point about doing it first is that there's no need for accuracy, so it's far faster.  You wipe the water off the frame and the first 1" or so of the glass, then squeegee.  If you do it right there's no need to detail.

I'll vouch for that method. Works a treat with a dog eared squeegee!  ;D
