i think you will find it will be knackered. take the sim out take battery out and leave all pieces in airing cupboard worth a go. dropped mine in the bog few years ago and could revive it.

No it will be ok. Strip it all down, and leave it in a warm dry place for about a week. In order to get it to work again the phone will need to be plugged into the charger when you turn it back on because it will have gone into emergency shut down.
Dropped mine in a river last year, left it for 2 weeks to dry out and it was fine.

Hope it drys out OK Darren.

A few years ago I dropped a Nokia down a stair well, 2 flights.
I saw it hitting the deck with components parting company.
Gathered the bits and put it back together again, Worked fine.
Happened again a few weeks later (honest) Still worked.
Needless to say Nokia ever since.

You buy a few at a time..... what do you do with them Clinton?

It was about 8 years ago that I dropped a Phillips mobile into a bucket of water whilst I was cleaning a bathroom. Never worked again.

There are a few phones on the market that claim to be waterproof - just like you can get waterproof cameras.

 Darren

worked for mobile phone repair centre water damage knacks the phone 99.9%
mate dont use hair dryer let it dry at room temp if you need a new one carphone
warehouse payg phones are unlocked so buy with the cheapest sim then use your own but dont send it in under guarentee as water damage shows up and
you could get landed with the courier cost if youve got insurance could always lose it.

happened to me this year - about a week after i got the new nokia on contract. dropped it in the bath - was in for only a second or two, took it apart, left it a day - it kinda worked but the screen was funny - left it another 2 days and after this it worked fine. nothing damaged, screen now perfect - phew!

Good luck with yours :)
