Do you have FACELIFT Carbon or GARDINER SL-X Pole?
«

I am looking at getting a new 35ft Carbon Fibre Pole as I have had a glass fibre X-tel for 10months and am fed up with it constantly collapsing and getting splinters.
This is my first Carbon pole and am unsure which to get.
I would like to know your experiences with either the
Facelift Carbon
or
Gardiner SL-X
pole.
How reliable and adjustable are the clamps (I know Gardiner have just replaced theirs are they any better)?
What is the pole itself like for wear?
Does it start collapsing or sections spinning around when put up?
Are the standard brush heads on the poles any good or do they need replacing straight away?
What is the backup service like for replacement parts?
Are you happy with your pole?
Any other problems or issues with the pole?
I would like to sort a new pole out by this weekend so any help at all would be great.

Hello,
Both companies give good service.
I have a facelift carbon fibre pole, but they are quite heavy and cumbersome as they are designed more for commercial work really (still excellent poles though).
I would say get yourself a gardiners pole, if you have more domestic work otherwise use facelift for commercial.
Hope this helps any.
Kind regards.

ive been using my facelift for around 3 years now on average 4 days a week and its still got plenty of life left in it . im still in 2 minds as to what my next pole would be when i need 1 but it could be the slx as by the time im ready for 1 all the teething problems should have been sorted and the slx is nearly 1/2 price of facelift .

I've been using an sl2 for the past year but broke a section. Borrowed a mates 34ft carbon facelift and it is way way too bendy. I didn't like it at all.
The sl2 bends a bit at 35ft but is way more rigid than this,
My conclusion was the 34ft facelift is a pole that you have to work by standing beneath the window moving the pole up and down. It is an awful pole in comparison when working at an angle.
I dunno about the slx, but i wouldn't recommend facelift at 34ft now i have used something easier.
