Signwriting design, opinions please.
« on: October 05, 2009, 06:08:21 pm »
I have been working on this design today, since it was bad weather anyway.

Please, can I have some constructive criticism please. I wanted to keep it simple, but still have the two most important things on there, something along the lines of good cleaning, and reliability.

What do you guys think?

Haven't sent it off yet, this is just some personal designing.

but I'm not sure about the hotmail address.  :(

Yea I know, I've used it since I've started the business as my paypal address, which is now a bit difficult to change.

Soon I will have my website up and running, so the email address will be changed to a website, and with the hosting comes a .co.uk email address as well.

A lot of hotmail accounts have had their passwords and usernames posted online recently

The 2 most important things are what you do and your phone number so make them the largest print, Try to have a landline on there and a good email address.

Hi,

It may be me & my teeth ;D but QGC does not roll off the tongue & would be a job to remember in the right sequence.

Sorry for the downer.

landline = for home, mobile = for work. 21st Century is here, mobiles have been around for more then a decade. :)

have you got your domain, I just had a look and GQC.co.uk is taken. do you have it?

Nope, it's not me.

I've been trading with that name, and that logo for the last 3 years, served me quite well.

very good,

The only thing i might alter slightly is reduce the logo so "window cleaning" is the same size or a bit bigger than logo.

as said what you do and mob no' most important,
i think email address is good idea as if you wizzed passed me i'm not too brainey :D
and wouldn't remember 11 digits, but emails are fairly easy to remember, websites better as you only need to remember partly.

who's doing your signwriting mate is it the stick on vinyl
cheers lee.

I'm not too sure yet who to go with.

I'm just trying to figure out if some of the do it yourself websites take custom designs. I think signs of life does it though, better email them for a proof.

i would leave the logo alone it looks good and all very straight to the point, leave the hotmaill addy off and when you got a website just add that latter all in all it looks very smart

Hmm, after giving it some second thought I think I will leave the hotmail address off there.

Tim what some potential customer will notice is, you only have a mobile number, you have a free email address which anyone can obtain.
both of these are important as you want to gain the trust of the customer, not give them doubt over your legitimacy.

It looks good apart from the hotmail address.

If you asked 100 people in the street about the hotmail address I bet atleast 85% would think it looks unprofessional.

Yea you are right. What I will do is I will ask to add a website address to the proof, so that I can put it on the van as soon as I have the website up and running. :)

About the landline, I would rather have a 0800 number on there switched to my mobile, home number is just a no no, I do not want customers calling my home, even if it's during the day. Why would anyone want to do that anyway, I would rather want to speak to the person instead of a answer phone, which you will 100% get during the day if you call my homephone.

why dont you get some viynl over the back windows and get some more signage on the windows
think of the back of your van as a mobile advertisment
