Rain - Keeping dry
« on: October 05, 2009, 11:23:00 am »
Always been lucky with the weather, either been dry or 1 big job on a wet day, i.e. in and out once.

But next 2 days we are set for heavy rain in the south and both days got 3+ jobs on so will be constantly in and out of the van, equipment getting wet, etc.

Anyone got an easy solution that they use, apart from an umbrella, unless its a bl**dy big one ;D

Anyone use a canopy of some sort to give cover at the back of the van at least?

Cheers
Paul

Truck Mounters are used to things getting wet. Van doors open, rain blows in, pipes get a good soaking running to the property and operators get wet setting up and packing away - all in a days work! Waterproof hat & jacket, that simple.

Not worried about myself so much, suppose to be pretty muggy with it so I'll just go out in my mankini Borat style.  ;D
Just worried about my equipment.

Once in 10 years it rained so hard I was soaked to my underwear just running out to the van to close the doors.  Lots of floods that day the rain was so heavy.

Otherwise wear a coat or wait for the heavy stuff to blow over.

I am very confused today.
Can someone explain where this water that is falling out of the sky comes from.
I thought water came out of a tap.
