How far have you driven it since the mistake, I've got my mate sitting here, he's one of the top honchoes in a garage, how old is the van?

Get it pumped out, change diesel filter and tank full, just incase some petrol left in. He says when it's cold the preasure isn't there.  Also says that it shouldn't have done much if any damage by that time you drove it.

been driving the van all day on and off .just hope i have,nt knacked it

Then you will still ´have petrol in the fuel lines when you have pumped out, maybe wait and see what your mate says. Good luck with it anyway. My mate says, shouldn't cause major probs anyway.
