Hose pipe to RO?
« on: September 27, 2009, 07:52:49 am »
Thinking of moving house. At the moment my RO is plumbed in to a copper pipe using a saddle clamp and quarter inch jg fittings.
How could I temporarily connect my pump and ro to a half inch hose pipe?

Later, I would need to run a water supply some distance to a seperate garage so I was thinking of maybe using plastic push fit pipe and burying it underground to prevent freezing. What do you guys do and what fittings would you need for plastic pipe to connect to RO?

mines just plumbed in via standard hose pipe and hoselock fittings - using a booser pump  then a reducer to RO

Just been having a look at Gardiners site and there seems to be plenty of fittings available. Just can't visualise the ones I need. For a temporary supply I need to go from half inch from the hose down to the quarter inch push fit to pump. They also do an outside tap connector so you don't need to pierce the pipe work with a saddle clamp but no pic of that.

hosepipe will just fit over the first 6mm connection, slip a pipe clip over the top and its done
