I can't make my mind up on this
had a lot of expense on my 8 yr old escort, still soldiering on.
I was told once that by a vehicle at 3 years old and sell around 5 years old,
theory is the first two yrs in a van/cars life suffers the biggest deprecition, after that they obviously still depreciate but at a slower rate,
get rid of motor at 5 years still get something back/trade in and main reason is this is when you start having to pay for repairs i.e clutch, exhausts. (and not before hopefully :
)
If you look at some of my old posts i did a post on this section.
good luck mate.
Unfortunately there's no winning it's a lump of metal that's worth less every day
with leaseing your guaranteed trouble free motoring; having said that i know someone that pays £200 a month peugeot expert, was in garage after 1st month :
for me i still can't get over the £200 a month for leaseing £2400 a yr £7200 over 3 yr period still own nothing at end then you have to sell on to pay back finance company.
There's always contract hire as leaseing but after term you just give keys back and walk away.
but as with leaseing; company go over vehicle and if they think motor is not in resonable nick your get stung with an extra bill to tidy up
as with if you go over agreed mileage.
cheers lee
