Does anyone have a copy of a letter they have used to inform domestic customers that VAT will be added to their prices in the future ......... pretty please ;D ;D ;D

No, but you might want to add that although it's now 15% it'll probably be 20% in the very near future!!!!!! Good luck. ;D

I wouldn't tell your domestic customers as it makes no difference to them. Just raise your prices to allow for whatever the vat may be. Even if it is likely to change in the future. I would look into the flat rate scheme as this is more cost effective for small businesses.

How do customers take it when they are asked to pay VAT? I'm expecting to have to absorb most of the cost on my domestic round. A sudden 17.5% increase seems a bit much? Maybe pass on 10% to them, absorb the other 7.5?

Just checked and from 1 jan 2010 registration and deregistration are 68000 and 66000
