« on: September 24, 2009, 11:19:10 am »
Hey,

Just wondered if anyone here had any other businesses that they work on aside from window cleaning?

I remember seeing that there is a few investors about but I couldn't find the post.

Thanks

Our business is a "contract cleaning" business so we do a lot of carpet cleaning , have daily cleaning contracts for night clubs, schools, etc and do a few kitchen cleans for pubs, etc. We also get asked to carry out the normal sort of work window cleaners always get like gutters, fasias; that sort of thing ;D
Come and talk dirty to us!!!

We do carpets and upholstery and are concentrating more on just upholstery as there seems to be a very big potential for it over here. Most of the competition here seem to only be interested in maintainance carpet cleaning.

Have now split the business for Vat reasons.

I used to cut grass for a few custys and take on the odd fencing job.

Too busy with the windows now though to be doing anything else, apart from planning my retirement (well, not so much planning, more jumping ship as I havent got a plan)

That's a good point actually. My round last time was fairly spread out. Got myself a Honda Mower, Petrol Strimmer and some tools and was doing gardens.

Was a bit less than Window Cleaning but still made for a nice varied days work.

£250,000 for 2.5% of the business, your valuation is way out, and for that reason ........

I like it LOL.

Yep, valuation is way out, I will have 250 vans on the road within 2 weeks so it's £2.5m for 2.5% matey :)

Oven cleaning is my main business but was not giving enough work to keep me busy full time so have now added window cleaning. Only started last month but slowly picking up customers through talking to existing customers, leafleting, canvassing and website. Have set up wfp using a trolley with ro set up in the garage. Enjoying it so far but probably not as quick as most of you guys, I'm concentrating on good results instead of speed for now.
