mr meldrum,
its not like i expected you to say anything else, so predictable it makes me laugh.

i can see the difference and it was a lot more noticable in person.

if you guys can't see the diff then thats fine,i said i'd get the pictures up and i have,  i feel it works, i see the soil transfer on the bonnets, i'm happy with my results. i'll keep on bonnetting after extraction on coms. my choice, my way,

like ive always said, each to there own eh!

I can see it Derek. Tha's got nowt to worry about mate!

i cany see any difference to be honest, if any its only because pic is taken from a different angle,

If you are removing more after you have , pre sprayed , agitated then extracted with your t/m i can only assume you are doing some thing wrong, or your t/m isnt working ;) :D

like i said geoff, each to there own, as for doing something wrong, its really difficult to prespray agitate and then extract so maybe i need more practice, after all, this carpet cleaning lark really is hard to master. and i've only been cleaning for a year and a half so ive a long way to go before i get good at it. ::)

the point of my posts are just food for thought for newbies, ya can't teach an old dog new tricks so it didn't even cross my mind that some veterans would consider this method, and like jands says, to much hassle striving for perfection, just get in and out eh! home in time for loose women ;D

Dont take it to heart Derick, its not have a go at Derick day, is it? i,m just giving my opinion on what I see, and if you feel that by going back over your work and that gives you more satisfaction because you feel you have  done a better job by doing this, then fair play. The only benefit imo that can be gained by your method is, it will dry your carpets a little better.

Derick, take a look above,  I also suggested your t/m may not be working ::)

Derek

Yep it takes time and practice and experimenting.

I cleaned a similar carpet a week ago which came up like new, but..........I accidentally missed out the aggitating due to a phone call.
I presprayed ( mist ) and would normally have aggitated immediately followed by extracting.
There was no hot water so I used one step m/s which was left for 15-20 mins dwell ( by accident ) and extracted without aggitating.
Normally I'd have used P/B or similar and hot water but the result was much better than I'd expected.
It's a while since I used m/s but will be playing around with it again as it's quick and easy to use.

I wasn't saying get in, get out and home for tea.
What I was probably implying was that your doing
something wrong or using wrong solutions or something
if HWE isn't doing as good a job as bonneting.

John

ps I'm doing something similar on Weds/Thurs so will try and remember to take
some pictures and attempt to pos them on here.

So everyone on here keeps on flushing out every carpet untill the water in the waste tank is clear - I don`t think so.
If you do not ( and who does )  then clearly you will be leaving behind some of the dirt.
A post HWE bonnet will remove some more of this dirt  - fact.
Whether you do this or not and whether you think this makes a visual difference is a personal choice that cannot be faulted.
It is your job, your customer and your good name.

Horses for courses fenman!

Different approaches can get the same results ( sometimes just visual ) but experimenting and experience will usually tell you which approach to take for a particular job.

Even then you will sometimes get caught out or as happened to me last week get a pleasant surprise.
