office carpet
« on: September 23, 2009, 05:30:49 pm »
Did my first office carpet clean today , it came up well and the customer was happy but i was not happy everywhere was good apart from the walk ways where people have been walking around. I went over these quite a bit but i could not get the areas as good as others but like i said the customer was happy and that's the main thing . Any advice on these areas where people have been walking more than others so i know for next time . thanks for reading

i dont imagine it would make any difference what method was used for the cleaning, office carpet normaly low profile  and usualy very worn around main walks, desks and paticularly were the chairs are placed, a circled area been the norm if the chairs on castors, the areas you are refering to will never look like the rest but will be clean.

Something i always discuss with custy before taking on the job.

Derek,

Buffing won't do anything to a heavily worn traffic lane, simply because that part of the carpet is far more worn than the rest of it and so will always look different no matter what you do to it.

Derrick,

Buffing wont make a blind bit of difference , I have tried bonnet over h/w/e on these area,s and not a bit of transfer . in other words you can use every concievable method/ chemical / machine/ be the most experienced c/c in the world  and with out replacing you will not improve it.

simples  ;)

geoff.

ps  . if any body disagrees, i would love to see and pray tell how

ive got pictures, there on my helpers phone, (just hope theyve turned out okay) after hwe and then after bonneting with fusion clean, loads better, i will post photo's when i see him and bluetooth them off him, better quality than mms.
but i'm not gonna argue. you think what ya like, i'm okay with that.

ps... if its worn its worn, obviously, but you can get extra brownie points with bonnetting afterward.

I always get the fusion clean out with the buffer  after hwe on office carpets or low profile..

Just gets rid of any wick back ;)

Thanks that will come in handy.

I dont have an extraction machine at present  as I'm not trading yet but I'm talking an agent of Prochem ,who are not too far away from me,about a Power Plus.Is this a good investment?

HWE and then buffing     be there forever.
Powerburst, dwell and agitate then HWE with very hot water or steam.
Should do the trick.
You can't put the wear back.
