ive seen alot of window cleaners going round there rounds using trolley systems.Do you think there easier to use than having to work from your van system?

i use purefreedom trolley and find it great i would'nt swap for van mount

it all depends on your work...if you are doing mostly commercial then van mount all the way.....if you are doing mostly domestic then trolley or backpack all the way....personally i reckon you would be better having both....you can get systems out there that are interchangable within a few seconds.

Try cleaning windows with hand cuffs on same thing using a trolley over a vanmount,unless you have very awkward hard to get at windows a trolley will never be better than a vanmount grab the end of the hose and off you go what could be easier than that,once you learn where all the obsticles are you`ll be flying with a vanmount.

A trolley with a 30 meter hose reel will beat any van mount on compact domestic.
I did 24 houses today, and moved the van 50 meters  twice. I do carry 2x 25 litre containers on the trolley though

try cleaning windows and after every house you do you have to wind the reel in which catches on EVERY thing you can think of, you drag along bins and the customers garden hose and it gets trapped on every bush

unless you want to spend 20 % of you day sorting out your hose get a trolley

i have both and use the van mount on straight forward commercial stuff, other than that its the trolley all day long

i have 10 metre air hose reel attached to my pf trolley retractable as well makes using trolley alot easier

Cheapest option would be


Go to Asda, stick £1.00 in trolley, then take it home & stick a fish tank pump on it & fill with water after having a bath

that way your not wasting water

having used both trolley and van mount got to say van mount far superior on everything. Faster and less hassle,no more lugging 25ltr barrels around (i used to carry 16 of them barstewards around) no more changing barrels halfway thru job and as for hoses catching on everything and wasting time well how much time do you waste filling barrels or sorting airlocks on changeover.My diy trolley is what powers my van mount and i built it so it could be quickly disconnected if needed,it has not been used for 2 years in that way

I think a van mount and backpack would be best as trollys can be hard work over uneven ground and steps also i struggle carrying a large pole and pulling a trolly.

only 1 barrel for me

400 L tank in van with a sub pump to fill barrel, no lifting full barrels, takes me 3 min to fill my barrel ( soon to be less )

the problem with using barrels is they run out so need filling up or changing to another one.
thats a trip back to the van to change it over which means lugging em about, sliding one out thats near the back of the van.
or as matt does refilling with a sub pump.
i started with a trolley and 6 tubs in the car. then got a van and alot more tubs, 425ltrs worth.
i worked out one day the time to clean a 3 bed semi, and the time to go back to van to change a tub over. then wait tll the airlocks have been pushed through if you've run the pump/system dry. walk back to the house etc.

i could clean another house in that time.

went to full 650 van mount a month or so ago, and its like night and day.
first day with van mount was best day ever. and has been ever since.
