Just thought id see where people are on this.

Iv recenlty started out and have decided to go traditional method. Just wondered if the balance between trad and WFP has now shifted

Cheers

Traditional all the way, being doing so for the last 15 years. Trying to convince my self to go wfp and am setting up a wfp trolley to experiment on my own windows first. Just got my gardiners dual trim brush yesterday. Thanks Alex.

Simon, cleaning standard , easy to reach glass is easy by trad. But trying to clean hard to reach glass, high inaccessable windows by ladders, high internal windows windows in accessable windows, etc is a different matter.

Wait until you have been cleaning along time and you get asked to quote for windows you would normally not be able to reach trad, then you have to search for alternatives to secure the contract.

we went wfp about 9months ago, main reason was we were uunder the illusion it would be faster

we do a council estate 60 houses, with wfp hoses from van we were getting about 20 houses done in a day max working  9-6

then we went for the backpack on  trolly and went up to 27(max) houses a day working 9-6

last month i was offered a cheap set of very light ladders, so now we have 2 sets of ladders, i forgot to charge the backpack for the day this estate came up so we decided I do fronts and other guy do backs all trad, we worked from 9-4 that day with a 30min break and had 42 houses done.

We have decided to go back to trad on all compact work like this.

However we have some big business' and some awful big country houses with surreal amounts of bugs around the windows, and on these jobs wfp is invaluable.

JS are you able to post some pics of the type of houses you make reference to? also when you say 'we' do you mean 2 people only cleaning 20 houses or each one cleans 20 with wfp?

Cheers
Dave.
