Where to buy scraper blades asap?
« on: September 19, 2009, 01:05:06 am »

I need some for monday for a builders clean. Had a look in B&Q, but they only do the harris paint stripper ones. I need the small pocket scraper blades. Or just the whole scraper.

Where can I get these fast?  :-[

Try your local £ shop. They usually have scrapers of some sort.

You'll need to handle them with care, though.

I bought this Stanley scraper in my local hardware store. Takes standard Stanley knife blades available anywhere. OK. It's a bit small, but it's better than no scraper at all!

The one below it is also by Stanley. I've never seen one, but you might be lucky and find it in a "proper" hardware store (If you can find one. They're thin on the ground these days.)

just been lookin online , the only one i see with stainless blades is a 6 incher at www.windowcleancentre.co.uk    , iv been in this place as its local to me so i will giv this one a look, bit of a monster size but  has  retractable double edge blade too , sounds a winner

i use a retractor scraper most everyday its on my belt but blades go rusty .

im not sure if stainless are as sharp as regular carbon steel though anybody know?

Been there too, but none there?  :-[

I don't know any cooker cleaning companies. I'm going to Guildford in a minute, I will have a look around if there are any handy stores that might sell em.

do you mean one of these? if so I think they are Ungers and fit their handles hence the holes. you should be able to buy blades at any decent Unger stockist.
