that place is alright :-[  ;D i've had some blinders in there, bit like the rave days and london clubs of old. always full of 7ft trannies back then so no real difference.

Potential customers like to recognise you as a local window cleaner. Get some good sign writing done. nothing over the top like a body wrap, just something that gets the point across of what you doand who you are

If the customer has seen you about they will trust you better than being some shady caracter in a unmarked van.

I have found most importantly, have a land line number on your van. Some custys out there do still believe it will cost you a small fortune to call a mobile. I had my land line put on nearly a year after havin the van sign written and i saw noticable increase in calls from my van.

One of the girls in the office at the signwriting place asked me to do a job before the van was even finished which covered most of the cost of the signwriting before it even got back out on the road!! Best money you can spend advertising IMO.

Its a great source of advertising the more people see your van in your area the  more than they will call you when they need your service. It also makes you look more professional & that your there to stay & not just for a couple of months beer money  ;D

Its so effective that I deliberately didn't get my present van signwritten. Thats true, its not a wind up, I don't need all those phone calls and I am full up with work. I only work a small area anyway so most of the calls I got before were from people too far away.

at least once a month while I'm working, i get a call that starts, "hi there, I'm looking at your van, can you give me a quote?"
the great thing with that is if you  use wfp they see you using the pole so it cuts about 5 min of explanation time. ;D ;D

Its the best thing Ive ever had done. I would say at least 90% of my work comes from it one way or another.

strangely enough i had a phone today from a guy who so my waiting, yesterday  near me at some traffic lights .went today to give him an estimate for cleaning the gutters .we agreed and did the job and said to do the neighbour as well and he'll pay.total job £130(£ 5 tip).1 1/2 h work me and my brother.job done and he wants them done every 6 months.he has a window cleaner but doesn't do gutters.i think he would have liked this kind of money.and i paid for my sign writing £109 in june  and it's not the first job doone trough my van.it's really worth the money

Went back to the signwriting place today to get some Guild decals sorted out,.. and the girl at reception saw the van and asked can I clean her place, her mothers and her sisters too!!

I advertised in a local free paper too a few months back & the owner saw the van. He asked me to do a job that was worth €100 more than the 10 adverts I booked! :)
