Cleaning soffits with vents ?
« on: September 13, 2009, 06:44:36 pm »
Cleaned my own fascias & guttering today.

What's the best way (from the ground) to clean soffits that have vents ?

Isnt there a danger of getting the loft space wet with a pressure washer?

I only use pressure washer on frames and guttering now, cuts the time down no end.
fascia and soffits I usually use Truck wash apply it through the pressure washer then give it a good blast with my 25 degree nozzle. then give it a spray with pure water to polish it.
Works a treat.
Plus when you start pulling out all the kit from the van, the customer would be less inclined to moan about how much you charge lol
I have cleaned frames and guttering manually with a trowel and rag, when it came to paying, the customer seemed to be rezentful to pay that amount for using a set of ladders for a couple of hours.

I put a cloth over brush, put velcro strap around it then dry it off.

Actually I finish off with a damp applicator on the end of my pole and remove all the drips from the underside of the guttering etc.
