The best thing about dark mornings
« on: September 08, 2009, 06:13:46 am »
I love it when I have started really early, and I'm working away, and I look up and the sun has come up a bit more without me realising.
Really lifts me that.
And of course there's the sunrises.

Sorry to be so lyrical but it's how I feel this a.m.

And then on the less lyrical side of things: the knowledge that you have done a few hours work and earnt a day's pay while everyone else is a kip, and you're going home while they're just starting  ;D

However i like waking up to a sunrise when on (sun drenched) holiday - strange how that works.

Early mornings for me too.  Have the world to myself for an hour or two and can really get on.

Rarely see the customer so no hold ups chatting about everything and nothing.  On the really cold mornings all I see of them is a hand coming round the side of the door with my money - usually accompanied by a comment like - "you must be bloody mad working in this weather".  ;D

As the day wears on and I'm tiring then I'm usually ready for a cuppa and a chat - knowing that I've already eaned well in the early hours.

Still building up my rounds so I might see it all differently later on.
