Whoops - shop signs
« on: May 17, 2005, 03:12:38 pm »
I was asked to clean a shop sign at one of my regulars - it had unsightly run marks on, which would not come off just cleaning with the pole/applicator -
so I came back a different time, got on the ladder and used a cloth to no avail - only a 'kitchen' sponge made any headway - trouble is I have rubbed away some of the paint along with the stains -
the shop is part of a chain, with typical metal plate painted sign and raised plastic neon lettering -
called back today and did usual clean, looked up at the sign and have to say it don't look too great - except for the runs have become less obvious - manager was not in - so I explained to the staff that the sign could do with being repainted -
when I go back next week I won't be carrying the bucket just in case i have to run
Having done the same at a different shop, without any problems and a really good result can anyone suggest how I should have gone about this
p.s. I just used my GG3/water solution
