hourly rate Vs price per visit/job
« on: September 02, 2009, 02:44:33 pm »
Hi guys I'm new to the forum. I've noticed that some people charge per hour and others price per job or visit. I can see why you'd charge per hour,I'm just wondering why some of you guys prefer to price per job as opposed to per hour?

What are your opinions on the pros and cons of each method?

You set yourself a realistic price per hour you would like to earn.
When you go to price a job, estimate how long it will take you clean the building including time to take ladders on and off the vehicle and charge according to your price per hour.
eg you set youself £20 per hour and job takes 30 mins then charge £10.
You might also want to have a minimum price as some jobs wouldnt be worth turning up to clean.
