I'm looking for an insurance company that offers policys to window cleaners but can't seem to find any. Could you please give me your insurance company name and contact number of website. Can you also tell me how much you pay and what for

Mine costs £110.76 a year (as of last October when my accounting year starts).  It's from a company called M.M.A.  It is for £2,000,000 with a £100 excess.  I obtain my insurance throiugh a company called Ryan Insurance Services (a broker).  Ryan are based in either Colchester or Ipswisch depending whether you take the info from the header or the footer of their paperwork :-) .  As the premium was over £100, I was allowed to divide it into two instalments (one month apart) at no extra charge.
Ryan's phone number is 0870 7549520 .  They seem OK though I've never had to make a claim.  I guess the real test would come if I needed to claim.  My premium is based on me being a sole trader BTW and is for public liability only.  I'm not saying they are the best or cheapest - they're just the ones I currently use.

I must have the best deal of all then. For 1 million I pay £77.70 a year with an internet insurance.

Then take your pick

And good god, £3000 for public liability

Don't you mean employers liability, or is there some reason that means it is that high?

For 2 million pounds worth of cover, public liability that is, on UK mainland you should be paying somewhere between £80.00 and £150.00.

It really isn't that expensive.

Employers liability is a different story altogether of course

 Yes here in the "sunny south east". Everything is very dear here. I Pay 80 euro a week totaling 4100 a year.
 Lately they are not interested in window cleaners at all.
I think it dosen't matter what it is you do here, for some reason or another it will end up being high risk.
 Same with insurance on my van another 1100 euro. I am apparently high risk there as well because I was a professional driver with an accident free record for 18 years before I took up cleaning.

£74.97 with GDK in canvey island for £1,000,000 public liability . as a sole trader , they guy who works with me was quoted £100plus from them so i may have a few years no claims discount with this .
the under writer is a company called Fortis , Ive had two claims in 8 years and they paid out fine .

hey guys,
can someone please advise me with regard to insurance do we need employers liability, we have one guy who works part time for us. also is there any way to get insurance that will cover us for loss of earnings if we have an accident.

Wiltshire Friendly Society do one...I have it,  and they apparently deal with lot's of window cleaners. How much you potentially get back during sickness depends on how much you pay in. The agent asked me if I was a Jehova's Witness as well  (which I'm not).......apparently , lot's of WC's are !
I'm sure there are loads of others too,  years ago I had one from Nat West called 'enterprise protector'....that was a good'un,  but they don't do it anymore.
