The question is, do you feel comfortable knocking? If you do, get out there and knock, take some leaflets with you, the ones that are not in, are not happy with their cleaner, or want to think about it, leave them a flyer. You will always get a few customers who are off, just be polite and move on to the next door, even if they say, i know the my neighbours, or the whole street wont be intrested! You will get far more customers from knocking than from just posting leaflets. Ive just had (last Friday) 4000 leaflets delivered by a company, not had a phone call yet, but i will keep you updated.

Register here, and those calls will be a thing of the past!

Works for mobiles AND landlines, I have registered ALL my phones, and NEVER receive a call!

My father complained about this recently, I registered his number, and now the phone is quiet!

You'll get the odd one not like it, but most are fine with you knocking. All I say is 'I was wondering if you need a window cleaner'. Nice, simple and too the point. Be polite if they say no. I say something along the lines of 'ok, thanks for your time'
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go
