Is my driving ok?
« on: August 04, 2009, 09:07:00 am »
How many times do you drive your sign written van or truck and realise you can't really rant and rave about bad drivers?

Yesterday, I was stuck behind a camper van on a mainly 60 MPH road to Penzance who was doing a steady 30 MPH and braked on every single corner >:(  But to add insult to injury, when he got to the 40 MPH zone, the idiot slowed down...... to 20 MPH ::). I was fuming as I like to be punctual and knew I was going to be late!

I managed to over take eventually only to catch up with a tractor where the driver was enjoying his breakfast and phone call and was probably reading The Sun as well, he was all over the road! I just laughed though and thought sod it, at least this guy was doing 40 MPH....... ;D

One of the reasons i don`t have my van signwritten  ;D
Did a really dodgy move on fri going to cambridge in my roc,was on the slip road behind some old granny,i overtook her on the slip ,just as she started pulling out, ended up 3 abreast until i flew past her  :'( .
If i am running a bit late i tend to drive like a nut,so prob best i don`t have my name all over my van.
Well that`s if the van is not overheating, fingers crossed i have done it now, don`t ever attempt to fit a new matrix,it`s a pig of a job..
Right off to clean a faux suede corner sofa now

I like the West Country but as you indicate Colin, the road situation puts me off visiting these days.

I hate being late.

In the past it used to stress me and make matters worse. Why screw up your health for something you have no control over? :-\

Normally, I am quite the patient type and customers are always understanding when I am late on rare occasions..... Cornwall has chilled me out a bit, but not to the point where I do things "Dreckly!"

'How's my driving, call ***** ********'

Clearly it advertising and was nearly tempted to try it ;D

A Furniture Clinic Franchise cut me up in Banwell a few weeks ago. Nice wrap but not good publicity.  ;)

Yep, when you have your van signed you have to drive extremely well.

After all, the other vehicle you just cut up could well have BEEN your next client.

but of course, we should all drive impeccably all the time. ;)

Hi Colin
If you see this campervan on the Cornish roads it'll be me and my Missus heading for Portscatho!  The campervan's name is Ruby and you'll be happy  ;) to hear her maximum speed is 50 mph!

It's rare you're able to get to anywhere near 50 MPH in Cornwall when it's tractor and/or tourist season ;D
