How Do you dispose of resin

As business and consumers of waste, we have to get rid of Commercial waste through the proper channels.

How do you get rid of your resin ?

Do you use a liscenced waste carrier, or do you just bin it ?.

Ive been worrying about this. At the moment i bin it in a wheelie bin that at my unit but as its commercial waste I am planning on contacting the local council to see what services they offer. Just did a quick bit of research and found this:

"[Every business in England and Wales has a legal Duty of Care to ensure waste is disposed of responsibly.

If you produce waste you must take all reasonable steps to keep the waste safe. If you give it to someone else you must be sure they are authorised to take it and can transport, process or dispose of it safely and legally. If you break this law you can be fined an unlimited amount.

    * You must stop the waste escaping from your control - you must contain it.
    * Check that anyone taking your waste has the necessary authority - they should be a Registered Waste Carrier.
    * You must describe the waste in writing - complete a Waste Transfer Note which you can get from the NetRegs webs site"[/color]

I feed it to my children.

My grocery money is then spent on beer.

My spare beer money is then spent on resin.

My children glow in the dark but they do save me a fortune ;D

for anyone planning to go for any kind of standard with their company bsi / iso etc you will need to show how waste is disposed of. If you dont do this it can be classed as a non conformance to your approved standard.

qualified iso auditor me.

you will need to show that it ha sbeen disposed of by an approved waste managemtn company. You will them be given a waste transfer slip. This would then go into your files for audit purposes.

Contact council or any waste management company

still on  my 1st batch my friend. However i could give it to my mate and have him dispose of it in his work. They regenerate their resin beds in the distillery dunno how it works but they do so he told me.
