4 years of service
« on: July 27, 2009, 09:42:25 pm »
well I have just changed over the membranes on my 300gpd RO, ive been waterfed since Oct 2005
so I think they have done me well the Tds output has always been around 8-10 but recently it has been rising steadily it had reached 35ish and nothing I did brought it down so I came to the conclusion that after 4 yrs of service they had seen their best days, now that they have been changed the output is down to 10-12 I can live with that.

That's excellent; were you diligent about flushing etc? Oh, and how much water do you use?
It's a game of three halves!

I always flush atleast once a week & I pump through around 1800-2000l per week

That is good. I always wonder how long an RO will last, i was hoping around 4-5 years.

It probably would go on for quite a few more months but it was starting to eat resin rather rapidly
