concept

merlin push fit hose attachments-cant release hose!

here i am again....grrrrrr!!

trying to remove a section of hose from a merlin push fitting, and it wont release.

the outer ring just wont push back to release.

any ideas? ???

Lol concept you really arent having much luck matey, im sure it will go right for you soon, I cant comment on this as havent got these connectors.

hi mate,

just  a thought, i had trouble with speedfit fittings, try a lube to get it going wd40

try pushing the ring back with a small flat edge screwdriver whist a second person pulls the hose.

it genuinely is one thing after another, i am now trying to run my merlin off the washing machine feed, as i get better pressure, and allegedly with merlins this makes a huge amount of difference, it bloody better i can tell ya, as i shelled out for brand new filter and membranes, when i maybe didnt need them!! supplier didnt ask me to check pressure, just said needed replacing...

here goes...

get a pear of pliers over the pipe and push on the black ring at same time push the pipe in as itl be cort on the bards that hold it in then pull out

thats the prob no one tells you to push pipe in in sum cases you dont nead to push pipe in ,iv bin useing em 40 years as i wos useing em on wagon air lines

the concepts great imo, i hate unsightly and fiddly jubilee clips.

is there a name for these push fits?
