« on: May 04, 2005, 06:01:49 pm »
Hello

Are websites worth it?
Do you get work from them or do you just get your exsisting clients viewing them
I know its all a matter of advertising the site, which is what worrys me
Doesnt it cost alot to advertise on google etc
Are sites cost effective?

Any infomation would be great at this time

Hello John

Myself like many others have website's.
I don't really get a lot of work from it i think in the last year maybe a dozen people have contacted me for quotes.
I do get quite a few people from differant parts of the country asking me for quote's also.
Obviously they don't read my website properly as i have the area's i work in on there.
My website is more for information more than anything.
I does not cost nothing to get listed in google or a lot of other search engine's. You just go to add url or add site.

websites are only of use if people know your domain if not then it's not of much use, go to aol and type in upload onto free search engines and you will be suprised there are loads out there, also try your local area search engines and get free listing on local businesses

Hello

How about software as I am a little unsure on the idea of paying for a site that will not get me anything at this time.
Untill I can see what traffic it gets I would rather not spend out
What companays out there on this huge expance of the internet provide a cheap, or even better free website.
Does such a thing exsist?
Can anyone create me one for a small fee?

I want to start looking into a reach and wash so I will have to start saving.

Websites are good, they are really cheap and you only really need say one £10 a month off it to pay for it. I would give the FREE ones a miss, for £60 a year you can get all the hosting needs you want with a domain name.

Below is my site and the gallery will be added to the main one with the same theme sometime soon. I have loads of pictures to upload as well. I think they give you abit more of a better image and i use mine for information for customers but its nice when you get the odd job off it.

Hi,
I designed mine myself using Homepage Builder, but you can use Frontpage or Dreamweaver.

My domain name and website hosting came from http://www.superhosting.co.uk for only £28 a year.

My Website is www.centralwindowcleaners.com  and we have had about 12 enquires since January.

Get a sticker made up with your website from Ebay to put on your car/van cost me £4.
