Up date on SL-X after three and a half months.
« on: July 08, 2009, 07:27:02 pm »
Still working fine. I use the pole for everything - mainly just the top four sections and adding the other two/three as necessary.

The red extend to here "stop point" markers on the top two sections are almost worn away.

The clamps occasionally slide off of the end of the pole section they are attached to.

Very pleased so far.

Question for Alex - What do you suggest I do to put new stop markers on? Will tile paint be OK?
It's a game of three halves!

Just glue the clamps back on - I do. My markers are nearly gone too.

Is this the pole with the new clamps?
I have the pole from the very first batch, my markers are still there, has Alex changed the type of paint? The printed SLX on the base pole is still eledgeable as well. My clamps are still in very good working order, i have to tighten the top one a few times a week, but other than that its still perfectly fine and not showing much sign of wear. I use the pole for everything, 5-6 days a week.

We are finding that the paint from the first model actually lasts better than the tape under the surface of the second model. What I would do is to use car spray paint as it is very thin and tough.

If the clamps slide off, they are not meant to! Contact us for some glue.

I will send you a photo.

I often look at the cover of the DVD and say to myself that I must get down to giving it a try. Perhaps this is the reminder that I need  :)
