I have used the ear clips and jubilee but continue to use the jubilee as they are so available fro DIY shops.

I use single ear O clips as they are the most minimal fixing and catch less when in use.

Recently, I have started using the Ionic fittings for hozelocks.
I use hozelock style fittings to receive the pole hose. On the end of the pole hose I have one of those new Ionics fittings that are supposed to catch up less easily due to their shape. I just slot it in the end of the pole hose and away I go - no jubilee clip, no o-ring. Mind you, I do have a bit of half inch hose jubilee clipped onto the microbore so that it can take the hozelock.
