I USE WF/P and I was watching a lad using one the other day,
he had cut a hole in the side of the van ,lined the hole with what looked like car window rubber [but maybe from some other part of car] and run an retractable hose reel inside the van, smart idea I thought, van is lock at all times
IM AT THAT AGE MY BACK GOES OUT MORE THAN I DO

Don't think i would want a hole cut in my van but on my escort van i can pull the hose out and shut the doors and lock them trapping the hose in the bottom door seal.
The seal just holds the hose and does not squash it so can leave the van locked and wash away and not worry about anything being pinched from my van.

yes, well that's what I do at the moment....still, as the van is dedicated to work, and will be run into the ground eventually...I'm not bothered about 'customising' it....it'll never be for sale again, so it doesn't really matter...

Good Idea, hmmm although you can purchase a manifold to fit which allows you to connect two hose trolleys to it, admittedly someone could still run off with the reel and you in toe... ;D ;D ;D

Manifolds available from www.brodexbms.co.uk

This thread is an old one and some of the members who've posted are members no more.

Apparantly it's bad-manners to resurrect old posts.  Especially when I've just had to check the dictionary in order to spell 'resurrect' correctly.
