washing out an IBC bought from eBay
« on: June 21, 2009, 12:02:20 am »
I bought two 1000 litre IBCs from eBay to use as a static system.  They are empty but one was used to store sunflower oil and the other had rape seed oil in it.

When I opened them the walls of the tanks felt sticky.  Anyone know the best way to clean them out?

I have a pressure washer.  Cheers for that!  That's my afternoon planned for tomorrow!

I remembered I had bought a spray bottle of Auto Glym Engine Cleaner.  (back in the days when I gave a monkey's what my car looked like)

It worked a treat.  Spray it on, some light brushing and pressure wash out.  Squeeky clean!
