Anyone use a WCW backpack with a trigger on the pole ?
« on: June 16, 2009, 07:15:10 am »
Wondered if anyone uses a WCW backpack with a trigger on the pole.

Want to cut down my water useage and thought this is one way.

Would having the trigger there put too much strain on the backpack or would it be ok to use ?

The tap on the backpack is all well and good, but its easily moved when working
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

I did stop the flow a couple of times with a hozelock type flow controller.  I won't do that now though as the pump was very juddery.  I wouldn't trust it in case it messed up the pump.  I just stop it from the on/off switch.  I still do have the same fitting on the end in case I have to stop the flow in an emergency but only for that.  When I first got the WCW backpack, I snipped the fitting off the end, jubliee clipped a bit of half inch hose onto the end, and put the hozelock style flow controller on.

I do it all the time, no problem at all. The pressure switch just engages.

same here, have fitted a flow valve to the hose tail, just turn it off and the pump stops.....................which initially surprised me when I first used it........lol, I thought it would just explode under pressure....lol
If Carlsberg made window cleaners....I'd be one of them....lol
