Filling Tank (not)
« on: April 28, 2005, 08:18:37 am »
I have a 650 ltr tank and am having difficulty filling it overnight, the pressure going in to the tank is at 40 psi but  even if i fill for twelve hours i am only getting 1/2 tank of water it is an ionics system and i am not letting much water out the drain.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Temps.

speak to ionics , may need either a pre r/o pump or you need to check your flow rate . its not all about psi

With pressure that low you will have a slow fill time, you will probably need to get a booster pump.
As it is an Ionics system they will advise you of what route to follow, and if they can't supply you with a pump, you can rest assured they will know a man who can! ;)

hi

WE HAVE A 640LTR TANK. MY WATER PRESSURE IS 20PSI!

FITTED A 12V BOOSTER PUMP THIS TOOK THE PSI TO AROUND 80.

WE THINK THAT WE ARE MAKING 1LTR OF PURE WATER IN 2 MINUTES (ALTHOUGH I'M NO EXPERT BECAUSE IVE ONLY BEEN WFP SINCE FEB 2005)

I TEND TO PLUG IN AND FILL UP WHEN I GET HOME AND LEAVE OVERNIGHT. I HAVE NEVER RAN OUT OF WATER AND I USE WFP LOADS.

I DON'T THINK THAT YOU ARE DOING TO BAD 1/2 FULL IN 12 HOURS AS WE ARE DOING 640LTR IN APPROX 23 HOURS.

LIKE I SAY I'M NO EXPERT BUT HOPE THIS HELPS :)
