Thats what I've got John - you won't be disappointed.

The heater is very good on the Ninja and while it goes up to 400 - I rarely use more than 220.

Let us know how you get on with it.

Is it worth it cos I've ordered it.
Nice round trip for me Thurs/Fri.

No I haven't got the steamate, just the normal element - but that heats up to 60 C, so the steamate is going to give you all the heat you will need from the porty.

Just one word of advice, get Alltec to service it when it's due - it was one thing buying the machine from Ashbys, but I wouldn't give them anymore of my money.

The steam mate is superb, especially for letting properties with no hot water.

Cheers for that Gary.

What was the problem with them Steve?

Will probably find somebody local to service.

Any good digs near Ashbys for the night?
I'm a Yorkshireman so must be cheap, no more than 2 bags of salt!!!!!

I just don't like Martin's attitude and nor do a lot of people, never met Derek but I think he commands more respect.

When I did some training at Ashby's they put me on to a really nice place like a converted barn. Was about 5 mins drive from them.

PS. Derek is a nice guy and I'm sure Martin is as well. But I completely agree with Steve. Martin is a classic example of someone who can do textbook Sales, but then lose a heck of a lot of money because he just gives you the the feeling he's pulling your pants down.

It's about 8 years since I first dealt with Ashby's and what totally put me off for life was the manner of Martin ..............after I'd got the machine which was the full spec with added steammate and chewing gum wand plus 75 feet of hose he refused to honour their advertised FREE two days training.

I'm afraid that was the last time I dealt with Ashby's

Dont want to put a downer on Ashbys and the Ninja but it was my worst ever decision in carpet cleaning to get a Ninja.
I had a Ninja with all the bells and whistles ie auto pump in waste tank and in line heater. Bought it 3 yrs ago and its been in shed for the last 2 years had to dig out my 10 yr old Alltec Pro plus which IMO knocks spots off it.
Firstly Ashbys refused to re new a water pump on my new Ninja after only 6 months work because I hadnt had a service done with them. I kicked and screamed and they eventually did. Then after another 6 months the water pump packed in again which was my cue to put it in the shed.
Heres the problems I couldnt get on with.
1. No temperature gauge.
2. No hour meter.
3. Small solution and waste tanks
4. The in line heater will not ( well it didnt on mine and Ashbys told me it wont) heat up stone cold water if using eg a scrubba deluxe or similar because the water flow is too much with 3 water jets as opposed to say the upholstery tool with one.
5. Maybe I've been spolit with the vac motors I've always had previously but the vac motor brushes were very hard to change WRT the connections. Had to butcher the connections to get them off and replace with new. There was no easy slide on slide off spade connection.
6. I'm 6ft 2 and fit but with all the bells and whistles on this Ninja it was sooooo hard to carry up and down steps and manouvre anywhere, a bleeping nightmare.
All you boffins and anoraks will all try and shoot me down in flames but everything I've said is true.

Why do you need a temperature gauge?
Why carry it up and down stairs, it's got wheels and it only weighs 39kgs.

Had mine as long all bells and whistles no problems at all.
Just one point the idea of having an in tank heater is so you heat the water while doing you prep then you are passing already hot water over the heat exchanger bingo very hot water.
sooooooon TO BE MY BACK UP MACHINE TRUCK MOUNT NEARLY READY
