Custom Sized Harris Pole
« on: June 11, 2009, 09:52:15 pm »
Has anyone customised a Harris Pole to their own specific size. Not extending it, but cutting down the sections to make it shorter. Been in B&Q for some bits and bobs today couldn't resist and had to pick one up to have a play with. But looking to make it shorter sections. around 3 x 4ft.

Anyone done this and how did hey go about it?

How do you remove the sections Ian. Do they just pull out once unscrewed.

Not having any luck doing this. Have they change them recently? There seems to be a ridge or lip on the base of each section preventing it from coming out of the plastic holder on each section. Does it just need a good Pull :o

All done ;D Just needed a good pull. :)

I have the yellow one, I use it for gutter cleaning with the scoop on the end. The smaller harris poles I wouldn't think they would be up to the job.

Made a nice compact pole today from the 5m Harris for Con Roof cleaning. My old extender pole was pretty worn and didn't want to pay £60 ish for a GXTEL 2 section pole.
