The term 'pet' usually means that there is a carbon filter to absorb smells and also some kind of suction-powered turbo head for stairs (or indeed carpets if its a cylinder type). I can't abide turbo heads as the noise can be unbearable and they are only as good as the suction which spins the brushes.

The trouble I had using commercial uprights is that the handles are usually very long, making the thing really difficult to turn. Those of you who are used to vacuuming rooms which are more or less empty will probably not agree with that, but pushing one round a room full of furniture can be hard going.

I am not looking to sell on here but I do sell sebos to my customers as an add on .I dont sell big volumes and not being vat registered am not competitive on commercials ,ok on domestic when vat is in the price and they cant claim it back.
Cant compete or wont compete on internet prices as not any margin left.

Hi guys, just thought id give you an update. Bought a Sebo felix from Redsale and the misses is well chuffed! Had a result on the price as well, got the pet one with the turbo brush for £188.00 inc delivery and a 5 year warranty. It also is quite retro looking, so goes well with the house ha ha!
Thanks again for the advice!

The sebo bs36 that everyone seems to use only has a motor of 1300 watts which is not really powerful, very little suction, the only good thing about them is they have a beater bar.

Try the Mielle 2400watts, agreed they look like a domestic vac but the suction is unbelievable!!

Would never use a sebo 1300watt vacuum thats going backwards...

You are correct in saying most carpet cleaners, including myself, use the BS36 and I would say most know its only 1300w on the vac motor. In fact, my Karcher version is less then that.

I wonder why they still buy the BS36 knowing this?

Perhaps its because it works.

I've had the BS36 fror a week and I can't believe I've been struggling all this time with a bloody Numatic. The BS36 does work.... And it works very well. It's exceeded my expectations.... Didn't get it cheap tho >:(

I've had other uprights that "Say" they are more powerful, but they've all gone to  Hoover Heaven ;D

Again, take a look at the Mielle 2400 watt vacuum cat and dog model £220 approx. Full adjustable suction power. When I first used it I thought it was like my very first porty vac, you can actually see the carpet lift up with the power, now that's a bonus even BEFORE you start to clean the carpet to get all the grit, debris and dirt out deep down to the backing and beyond.

The bs36 don't do that, I know. cos I got one of them as well..... and it stays in the shed now, fully retired...

Many carpet cleaners use the bs36 because it LOOKS commercial and professional, however compared to the vac I mentioned it is very under powered. I know what I would prefer.

Clean edge, the difference is the sebo has TWO vac motors so its 1300 is dedicated to suction and so does not lose energy driving the beater bar, it has a seperate motor for the beater bar.
