« on: June 04, 2009, 11:49:37 pm »
i've a 400ltr tank with a varistream and a 100psi pump.

could I buy another hose+real and run a 2nd pole from the same system by just turning the veristream from 2 which I currently use it on to 4?

I'm looking at taking on my 1st member of staff.  :-[

Personally I would have a second pump and flow controller.

yes you could, you would need a Y hose connector before hose reels, it will do.

I would defo get another pump and controler though, but for short term use yes you could what you have.

If your putting in a Y piece why will you need another pump and varistream, the single pump will pump water to the Y piece and then to both reels.

you can buy a double elbow for the outlet.
Mr D how long is your hose and the second hose? how high are the windows you plan to clean.
100psi pump is ok for 1 guy and 100m of minibore upto heights of 50-60ft, 2 guys going through 2 sets of 100m minibore upto to 30-40ft and the pump will struggle to cope.
Mr D dont take this the wrong way mate, but if finances are tight why are you having an employee?
personally I would set him on a week later than you planned and the money you would of paid him could pay for a pump and controller. thats just my opinion Mr D

I have either read wrong or this dont make sence m8, a 100psi pump will pump to 2 pole if using a y piece it will also go to 2 reels, I just would not reccommend only having a single pump (have 1 for back up for the cost of them you would be mad not to as soon as funds were available.

Matt

at present I'm using 100m 8mm hose and dont clean over 20 ft. dont need to and dont want to, no need.

I need to take some one on to cover the work load, I'm turning work away left right and center at the moment which I dont like doing. since going wfp I've become very picky on what I do and feel its time I got some one to help expand and be less fussy.

funds are tight but nothing a week wont sort its just I'm not sure how the workload I have will go with 2 poles there for thought trying it out b4 I buy would be a good idea.

also if the lad turns out to be 2 bob. no big deal.

true but you will still need to find another guy if you want to expand mate.
just a question, how much do you think pumps and flow controllers are?
You could get both for about £150
