Does this exist........?
« on: June 04, 2009, 05:25:31 pm »
What is need is this

this is a standard according to gardiners pro male hose tail, or rectus type 019 or something like that

what i need is this a double ended hose tail, basuically so its the same at both end, so that it can connect  two pro end stops together.

does that make sense

so lets recap, instead of one end being a barb, i want it to be another hose tail,

also i am fed up with hose lock type connections, what else can i use to connect to the hose reel,

have you tried the brass ones ? also what hoselocks do you use, as I find the branded ones total pants, orange and black ones seem miles better,

Have you considered getting two welded together?

Why not just attach two together with a short length of hose? ::)

Not sure if what your looking for exists, but you could always order a male threaded one and a female threaded one and then just screw them together with a bit of PTFE tape on the threads.

yup tried brass, hate them, never ever used the hozelock, use the orange and black, and hate them, they just disconnect at the slightest touch

i have no idea how i would go about that, would be expensive i think too.

that is a good point, may have to consider that one

to connect to my hosereel I use a brass 90° swivel elbow with a brass hoselock connector.

I never have any problems with it.

thats what im using at the moment. i just cant get on with them, they leak when the pressure is off, you cant over tighten because you cant get them udone again, i knock and it disconnectts, sometimes even from the hose

worked with the pro range today, not setup how i want it but, was much better no leaks no fuss, great

Just curious m8,  what is it your trying to connect together?

Could'nt you just replace one of the end stops with a male connector, rather than trying to connect two end stops together?

I recommend you take a look at the EZ snap range at Gardiner's, they are smaller, lighter, and quicker to operate than your current ones.

BTW, don't be tempted to buy the cheap ones of ebay, they are rubbish, last no time at all.
