Agree with NWH, stamps are a waste, because even with stamps on people will just "forget" the bill. It will cost a small fortune as well.

Add £1 on each job and it pays for the stamp and banking, I gave an envelope to a customer last week and nearly forgot the stamp, she thanked me and said she never has any.
Make it easy for them to pay and your more likely to get paid quickly.

That doesn't make sense, you are making the customer pay a pound for a stamp? Banking is free.

No I pay for my banking, adding a £1 is just a simple way of covering the cost of cheque handling, stamp, envelope, slip printing, oh and a paper clip. ;)

I print my envelopes with a square where the stamp goes, in the square " please remember the stamp". it seems to work ;)

I have always put envelopes without a stamp, always got paid no problem.

It's worked for the last 6 years, only ever had one guy say 'Where's the stamp' and he was a real moaner anyway

I use pre franked, pre addressed envelopes. (that way they cant reuse them for something else)

I started putting the we clean your window slips in them, so they are less likely to throw them out with the unwanted flyers/mail.

and yes you do get paid quicker!

Ive had an letter sitting about for 3 weeks cos i kept forgetting to buy a stamp for it. So it only goes to show..

So i charge extra £1 now to provide the pre franked envelopes.

If they pay standing order, no extra charge.

Hi andy, ive always put stamps on and always will, it works out at about £4.00 a week, sometimes its lower, sometimes a bit higher, if i were to go out collecting twice a week it would cost me a dam sight more than that in petrol and time,
I use 2nd class stamps, yeah i bit slower but the money comes in in the end.
although they are slowly coming over to internet banking.
Give it a go mate why go back out to collect when youve just got home, you could be spending that time with the family.

Regards

Terry

No stamp, no envelope. I use coloured paper slips so they catch the custy's eye among all the bills etc. on their mantelpiece.
It's a game of three halves!
