I have a static HF5 setup with 2 pre filters and when the pressure is about 35psi it will make 500ltrs in a morning.

The membrane + pre filters with houseing and all plumbing about £650,forget 100gpd rubbish that is not for making the amount of water you`ll need as a WFP window cleaner might be enough for the odd drink though lol.

Update...

Been flushing the new HF5-4040 membrane for 4 hours now and i done a quick test an hour ago and its coming out at 14 tds compared to my 10 month old Desal AK4040 which was coming out at 52 tds and has done since new so the HR5 looks very good for low mains water pressure so far....
How long should i flush it for 12 Hours??

Bazz,

What was the water pressure  to get the reading from your membrane?Do you live in a hard water area as I'll do here in Southend,Essex...
My water is at least 400 plus, but my membrane knocks it down to 29 with a booster pump.

Just thinking if its time to buy a membrane from Gaps...
Cheers....Tony.

I don’t know what the pressure is but its not great and my tap tds 350.
I don’t know if this helps but when its on flush my fist gauge on the pre filters reads 30 so whether that’s the tap pressure I don’t know..

Thanks...

My tap pressure is around 35,but my membrane gives a high tds into my tank, hence to why I have to use a booster pump to achieved a less reading...

Anyway thats a good reading with a low tap pressure from a hard water area you live!!!

I'll need a new membrane,sounds like the HF5-4040 is a good investment....

Bazzy I found out from NWH that after running for about a week you find the tds after the membrane will come donw as the membrane 'beds' in...

Cheers
Dave.

Easy...I'm sorry I just do not know to be honest with you but they are of course working hard to remove little nasties getting into your 'engine' (membrane).

Bazzy when my system is set to flush my first water pressure guage reads about 30...so you may well have around 40 - 50psi as your working pressure...just a guess though ;)

Cheers
Dave.

Ran my system for around 12 hours then shut it down, did this for a couple of days....mainly experimenting at that time as my 300gpd r/o was still making water for me at that time.

But as NWH had mentioned it'll will take sometime to bed in and be working to it's max.

Cheers
Dave.
