What can you use to stop ladders digging into wet grass and leaving little divets?

Hi,
You can buy something called a Rojak stopper from most cleaning suppliers :)

Hope this helps

I would want the ladder to dig in a bit, no chance of the ladder sliding away at the bottom.

Me too, it feels much safer when the ladders stuck in a little bit. I've never had a complaint, you just have to do it carefully.

We used to call these "excaliladders" because sometimes the ladder went in so far only the pure in heart could get it back out!

The trouble with letting your ladder dig in is if a customer has new turf you could end up with a big bill :o

when you take the ladder out nudge the soil around the holes to cover it up, the soil is usually wet enough to move easily

When I used to use ladders on regular work i used to put them back in the same little divits every time,  I didnt need to think much about where to put the ladder then.

Most customers dont mind, as long as its minimal damage... but for the sensitive ones I used to carry a bit of carpet around, put the ladder on that, spreads the weight but still grips nicely  :)

I used to do some triple floor flats off a ladder on soft ground (yeah yeah I know).  I didn't mind it sinking in because I knew the ladder wasn't going anywhere.  When I pulled it out (with a lot of effort), one of the feet got stuck in the ground.

get the customer to supply a piece of wood 2ft square and at one edge screw/nail in a section of 2 x x2 put some nails thru  the four corners of the square wood to act as grips so when the the wood is placed down the nails sink into the soil and you place your ladders against the 2 x 2

HSE would love you.
get the correct tool for the job, wood is not suitable for a ladder stop or they would be made out of it it slips (think decking when wet)  ::)
