What Pole?
« on: May 03, 2009, 02:24:07 pm »
I am looking to buy a new 25ft pole, just wondering what others would recommend, ideally for me the lighter the better. I've had a look online as to what is available but still undecided.

Cheers for your help

convert a fishing pole, as light as you will get and cheap as chips, mine is fast approaching its 2nd birthday

once you get used to the modular pole its great, took me a day or so to get used to it

BUT

what you cannot overlook is the lightness, you cannot get lighter

I've used a fishing pole and now an SLX.

If it's an initial cost issue then fishing pole every time. They are also easy to repair with gaffer tape and a hacksaw. If it's a speed issue (£££ again mind) then SL-X

The SLX can be as light as a fishing pole - if you plan your day and use it in a semi modular fashion (keep 3/4 sections set up as telescopic and add 4/5/6/7 as you need them) - it's quite quick to do.

What kind of round have you got?
It's a game of three halves!

My round is a mixture of commercial and residential, about 70% residential and 30% commercial work mostly wfp. Weight is an issue with a pole but i will pay out, but want to know my money is being well spent
