hi all, have just found out that the boyfriend of the girl who fell off her bike, works for an insurance company in southend-on sea that specialise in commercial liability insurance....thats it i,m done for...kev
How did you find that out?
Surely if that was the case the first thing you would get is a formal letter from the said company.
I think they are just trying it on but it's easy for us to say and think this, you seem to be a decent fella and I can understand how it is making you feel.
Good luck with it.

Sounds to me that during the BF lunch break he has typed a letter on headed note paper, I bet his employers dont even know, try and make contact with his boss and explain that you have recieved the letter and that you will inform them soon what is happening, I bet his boss doesnt know and youll make him aware, im also sure the BF isnt allowed to represent her.

You may laugh but I use this sort of thing not only across a road to protect my hose but also across any pavement to stop this sort of thing happening because there are to may people out there Just looking for a reason to fall.

If you apply to DVLC and pay a fee they can tell you who owns any vehicle  provided that you have "good cause".
The Farmers Union advised its members of this fact recently with regard to suspicious vehicles seen on country roads at night and livestock thefts.

The fact that your vehicle was not involved in the accident makes it a bit of a grey area regarding the good cause.

If I was you I would maintain through thick and thin she was NOWHERE NEAR you when she fell off her bike. You were just the good samaritan going to her aid. She fell off the bike becuse she was talking on her mobile while riding on the pavement. All of which is almost certainly the truth.

Don't let these people screw up your mind, thats what they do best. You start to think like a guilty man.

Lux Traffic signals  ;D ;D
I was given that from a guy who was taking down temporary traffic signals, you have  to widen it for your hose to fit in, (I used a circular saw).. its brilliant for protecting you hose across the road were traffic runs, I've seen people with prams and wheel chairs going over it on the pavement, if any one trips on it then I have done every thing possible to reduce trips and falls.
