MOVING TROLLEY AGAIN AND AGAIN
« on: May 01, 2009, 10:44:23 pm »
hi folks getting fed up with the amount of times i have to keep moving my freedom trolley on each house, was thinking could i pull out the tubing from inside my pole and replace it with a longer length so i wouldnt have to move the trolley so much?if so would this be ok for the job?

i have freedom trolley use about 20 ft minibore.

only have to move trolley a couple of times on 3 bed semis.

I thought of using 5mm yellow hose but was told by adepta would over work pump and they do no reccomend anything other than garden hose 12mm
but i split the difference went for 8mm

anyone know about above mentioned
look forward to seeing pics of reel

was trying to think of how to attach a very small hose reel to freedom trolley; as is on one of the omnitrolley's

any ideas anyone
apart from the obvious answer ;D buy an omnitrolley
what won me over with freedom is no filling like omni
lid of barrel and away

I bought extra metres of pole hose and just used that. I wrapped it around the handle of the trolley when it wasn't needed. Very light.
The drawback is it isn't that strong, but the little leaks could be sorted with tape. Now the warmer weather is here is won't all wrap up and buckle like it ddoes in winter.

i used to use my freedom trolley from out of the back of my ford focus
would leave my trolley and barrels in car run a 6 or 7ft piece of garden hose
off the trolley onto reel of 50 mtrs of microbore only time i wentr
near trolley was to turn on or drop trolley hose in new barrel.

simples ;D

I have 20-25 metres of clear pole hose on my poles, when I use backpack, I don't have to move it much!

Its a long time since I used the clear hose, but as far as I remember the size is identical. It feels a bit more supple & flexible in use tho, and slightly lighter I think too.
