This thread is spam.

If you want to advertise you have to pay.

So why don't you "proactively" get your wallet out instead of spamming the forum

I think they are helping the market, through learning.

Someone seems to be having a bad day.  ::)

Firstly thank you for the support lads, i didn't want to get into a debate on how the NVQ is there to benefit the industry he works in and most of all it is FREE, how many window technicians  ;) get the chance of free training/qualifications, passion may have lead to me writing an essay!

Why would anyone need a qualification in window cleaning?

  It isn't rocket science!

Also how does it help the industry that I am in? maybe by having even more people doing it so I don't have to do so much work?

You need to look at the  old nvq posts mate - it all been done and we all got the t shirt  :)

And it is a good thing :)

"It isn't rocket science!" thats why its the job for you :)

Why will there be less work for you because a few people decide to take their job seriously

How come so many resent the NVQ are they threatened by the fact that some people might learn something they dont know or something??

I didn't ask for a personal attack on my intelligence, especially one which is unfounded with my academic qualifications probably far outwaying the attackers.

I honestly do not see what use an nvq in window cleaning is, to me it is a bit like an nvq in bin emptying - any old Joe could do it with a bit of thought and application.

The real skill is in running the round and turning a healthy profit, something that many people will never learn because they aren't cut out for it.

I doubt it - for one you used a plural when really you are referring to a singular person

ME :)

im just annoyed that people keep putting down attempts to make the industry more than "something any old joe could do" because in actual fact the techniques used to clean a window quickly and to a high standard are not so easy as emptying a bin - everyone would do it otherwise!
Also the NVQ does not even have a lesson on cleaning a window - it is more about health and safety and customer relations in a commercial setting , it is not really geared for domestic at all

So why attack something you have no experience of ?

People poke fun at me for doing it, other say they are impressed that a window cleaning company does this sort of thing.

I am doing this because it wil be an asset to my business, if you don't think so don't do it.

I remember people laughing at me when I started window cleaning, I laugh quitely to myself now  ;D
